The Kings Head is situated in the historic Border City of Carlisle, right in the heart of the town centre. Easy to find for both visitors and locals, The Kings Head is on Fisher Street, which is behind the Town Hall and next to the Guildhall. This part of the city dates back to Medieval times, and ale is reputed to have been available on the site of The Kings Head as early as the 10th century!
Handy for local attractions such as the Castle and Cathedral, as well as The Lanes shopping centre, refreshments are readily available for the weary tourist or shopper. Food is served from opening time until 3 pm Monday to Saturday, and in addition to the excellent range of real ales and lagers, wines, spirits and soft drinks, freshly ground coffees and teas are always available.
City Pub of the Year 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013 as voted for by Solway CAMRA.
